And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of. Can a heretic be a valid Pope of the Roman Catholic Church? No. The Papal Bull Cum ex apostolatus officio of Pope Paul IV teaches that: if anyone was a heretic before the Papal election, he could not be a valid pope, even if he is elected unanimously by the Cardinals. Canon 188.4 (1917 Code of Canon Law) teachers that : if a cleric (pope, bishop, etc.) becomes a heretic, he loses his office without any declaration by operation of law. St. Robert Bellarmine, St. Antonius, St. Francis deSales, St. Alphonsus Liguori, and many other tehologians all teach that a heretic cannot be a pope: "If however, God were to permit a pope to become a notoriously and contumacious heretic he would by such fact cease to be pope, and the apostolic chair would be vacant." -- St. Alphonsus Liguori, Church Doctor: Verita bella Fede. Pt. iii, Ch.viii, 9-10. WHAT DOES THE BIBLE TEACH: Here is why the Pope is a heretic: One of the Pope's many titles is Melchizedek Priest. This is an abomination and here is why: Hebrews 5:5-14 So also Christ glorified not himself to be made an high priest; but he that said unto him, Thou art my Son, to day have I begotten thee. As he saith also in another place, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec. As you family pays for masses it will help you get out faster. How fast? I don't know, but trust me soon. The more money they give to the Roman Catholic church, the faster you'll get out. Make sure you remind them of that. Oh, we cannot forget the importance of adoring and worshipping the holy eucharist. I heard that those fundies said it was just a piece of bread but I will remind you that the species of the bread is transubstantiated into the flesh, guts, toenails, body, soul and divinity of Jesus. The wine is transubstantiated into the literal blood of Jesus. It's okay to drink blood, forget about Acts 15:20 and Leviticus 7:26-27. The mass is the sacrifice of Jesus all over again. The priest is another Christ and is qualified to sacrifice Jesus. He calls Jesus out of heaven to come down and die so you can eat him. So what the Bible says that Jesus was offered once. We know the Bible is not too reliable. We've been through all this before. Just want to solidify these things in your mind. Don't let those fundies scare you with all that talk of hell and the Antichrist. If Mother Church was good enough for grandma and grandpa, mom and dad, it is good enough for you. Martin speaks of a "new agenda" which the pope seems to be desirous of fulfilling which involves far more than the future of the Roman Catholic institution. Martin also speaks of the alienation of many Roman Catholic priests, nuns, and theologians, from the traditional views of Roman Catholicism, and the reaction of others to this alienation, even to the point of calling the pope the ANTICHRIST: (Pope Paul VI could not stem the onslaught) women who wanted to be priests, priests who wanted to be married, bishops who wanted to be regional popes, theologians who claimed absolute teaching authority, Protestants who claimed equality and identity, homosexuals and divorced people who called for acceptance of their status on their terms.., traditional minded Catholics who BITTERLY REPROACHED HIM WITH BEING ANTICHRIST. One example is the Black Magic Market.com which sells four different styles of inverted cross. ~ In his article, The Kingdom of Satan, Professor J.S. But before they bow down in front of the monstrance (graven image) with their Jesus (idol) in it, they like to parade him through the streets and "adore" him in their solemn processions. You see, their Jesus can't walk. He has to be borne about by men. THIS is the Catholic Jesus that we write about here at Jesus is Lord--he is plainly not the Jesus of the Bible. You don't believe that they actually worship and "adore" this thing called the Eucharist? Look at what pope John Paul II (a.k.a. Karol Joseph Wojtyla--his real name) said about the Eucharist in his 1980 Encyclical Letter on the Mystery and Worship of the Eucharist-- "Adoration of Christ in this Sacrament of love must also find expression in various forms of Eucharistic devotion: personal prayer before the Blessed Sacrament [the Eucharist], hours of adoration, periods of exposition - short, prolonged and annual (Forty Hours) - Eucharistic benediction, Eucharistic processions, Eucharistic Congresses." The mass is the center of Catholicism and the Eucharist (that little round wafer above) is the center of the mass. "...[E]ucharistic worship is the center and goal of all sacramental life." --Karol Wojtyla, aka pope John Paul II DOMINICAE CENAE ON THE MYSTERY AND WORSHIP OF THE EUCHARIST February 24, 1980 The Eucharist has been referred to as the Catholic "wafer god". I think that is an appropriate name for it. Without eating their Jesus, the Eucharist, Catholics believe they can't go to heaven. Their Jesus, the Eucharist, is also called "The Sacrifice" and "The Victim" (see above encyclical for examples). You see, they don't believe that the work of Jesus Christ was finished on the cross--He is supposed to be a perpetual victim always getting sacrificed over and over again. Dying over and over and over. That's why you continually see them with dead Jesus' on crosses in their churches and homes--just hanging there, dead. My Jesus is not the "Eternal Victim", He is the Eternal Lord of Lords and King of Kings! Jesus told me in His word that His ONE time sacrifice is finished, completed, over. The Lord Jesus Christ is back in heaven where He came from waiting on His enemies to be made His footstool, not hopping up to enter a piece of bread. The mythical Eucharist is just another man-made tradition. What else did Karol say? "The encouragement and deepening of the Eucharistic [cracker] worship are proofs of that authentic renewal...Jesus waits for us in this sacrament of love..." Many Catholics say that I don't understand Catholicism BUT NOT ONE will deny that they consider that cracker Jesus! NOT ONE WILL DENY that they fall down in front of images like this as well as statues, relics, paintings, and other images. NOT ONE will say that the ONE TIME sacrifice of Jesus Christ is enough to save your soul. I have told no lies on the Catholic religion on this site and I have no misunderstanding. Just go to some of their websites--you'll see what I'm saying is true. Get into a conversation with one and ask them about these things--you'll see they're true. Compare their encyclicals, decretals, and catechism to the Bible and see if you don't find contradictory documents. You don't have to take my word for it. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Catholics tell me that "the Catholic Church is the only Church that was given the authority to interpret sacred scripture and to teach on matters of faith and morals without error." Mmm, this is a pretty big claim. I have some questions for you, gentle reader: [1] Look at the picture above one more time. Would you call that Eucharist cracker an image? Let me help you. An image is, according to Webster's, im-age (im'ij) n. an imitation or representation of a person or thing, drawn, painted, photographed, etc.; esp., a statue; a sculpted figure used as an idol. The person is Jesus, the idol is the Eucharist cracker and surrounding monstrance. "But," a Catholic would say to me, "we don't worship idols, we worship Jesus." Well, let's look at Webster's again for the definition of an idol: i-dol (i'dl) n. an image of a god, used as an object or instrument of worship. [Didn't Karol say to worship the Eucharist?]; any object of ardent or excessive devotion or admiration [Didn't Karol say, "Eucharistic DEVOTION"?] I like the following definition best which is also found in Webster's New World Dictionary (1982): an impostor! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- [2] Do you think that images like this monstrance and Eucharist are what Moses was warning about when he said: Take heed unto yourselves, lest ye forget the covenant of the LORD your God, which he made with you, and make you a graven image, or the likeness of any thing, which the LORD thy God hath forbidden thee. (Deuteronomy 4:23) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- [3] The above passage says that God had forbidden the people to make a graven image. Where is this at in the Bible? Maybe Exodus 20:4-5? Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- [4] What you just read was the SECOND of the ten commandments. Is it any wonder why the Catholic religion deletes it? Is it not apparent to you? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- God HATES images. An image is, according to Webster's, im-age (im'ij) n. an imitation or representation of a person or thing, drawn, painted, photographed, etc.; esp., a statue; a sculpted figure used as an idol. The person is Jesus, the idol is the Eucharist cracker and surrounding monstrance. "But," a Catholic would say to me, "we don't worship idols, we worship Jesus." Well, let's look at Webster's again for the definition of an idol: i-dol (i'dl) n. an image of a god, used as an object or instrument of worship. The Inquisition was zealously carried out by Romish Inquisitor-Generals, priests, and monks. And oh yes, they had the support of the secular authorities. Know ye not that the Dark Ages were dark because the papacy was at the height of its monstrous glory--ruling over kings and queens and encouraging recusancy towards any ruler that did not bow to the devil/papacy? Romanism is the Devil's religion, therefore papists do the works of the Devil. Only the Devil could inspire men to the deeds recounted by Samuel Clarke in his book Martyrology circa 1651. Papists have tortured and killed Christians for centuries. These are grievous crimes that are loathsome to even list but multitudes endured these for the gospel's sake. Primmer page 321 "The torture chamber is a dark, subterrranean dungeon. The Inquisitor-General is seated on a raised platform and issues directions as to the tortures. A priestly scribe at a table at the Inquisitor's feet is writing down whatever is extorted by torture from the several victims. Priests and monks are applying the various tortures. There is first the torture of the pulley. The hands are tied behind the back, a rope is attached to them and put over a pulley fastened to the roof, weights are bound to his feet. At a signal the victim is pulled up to the ceiling and then let down with a rush to within a foot of the floor; this dislocates the joints and causes exquisite pain. This is repeated again and again." The following is excerpted from Foxes' Book of Martyrs Chapter V, An Account of the Inquisition. At the first time of torturing, six executioners entered, stripped him naked to his drawers, and laid him upon his back on a kind of stand, elevated a few feet from the floor. The operation commenced by putting an iron collar round his neck, and a ring to each foot, which fastened him to the stand. His limbs being thus stretched out, they wound two ropes round each thigh; which ropes being passed under the scaffold, through holes made for that purpose, were all drawn tight at the same instant of time, by four of the men, on a given signal. It is easy to conceive that the pains which immediately succeeded were intolerable; the ropes, which were of a small size, cut through the prisoner's flesh to the bone, making the blood to gush out at eight different places thus bound at a time. As the prisoner persisted in not making any confession of what the inquisitors required, the ropes were drawn in this manner four times successively. The manner of inflicting the second torture was as follows: they forced his arms backwards so that the palms of his hands were turned outward behind him; when, by means of a rope that fastened them together at the wrists, and which was turned by an engine, they drew them by degrees nearer each other, in such a manner that the back of each hand touched, and stood exactly parallel to each other. In consequence of this violent contortion, both his shoulders became dislocated, and a considerable quantity of blood issued from his mouth. This torture was repeated thrice; after which he was again taken to the dungeon, and the surgeon set the dislocated bones. Two months after the second torture, the prisoner being a little recovered, was again ordered to the torture room, and there, for the last time, made to undergo another kind of punishment, which was inflicted twice without any intermission. The executioners fastened a thick iron chain round his body, which crossing at the breast, terminated at the wrists. They then placed him with his back against a thick board, at each extremity whereof was a pulley, through which there ran a rope that caught the end of the chain at his wrists. The executioner then, stretching the end of his rope by means of a roller, placed at a distance behind him, pressed or bruised his stomach in proportion as the ends of the chains were drawn tighter. They tortured him in this manner to such a degree, that his wrists, as well as his shoulders, were quite dislocated. They were, however, soon set by the surgeons; but the barbarians, not yet satisfied with this species of cruelty, made him immediately undergo the like torture a second time, which he sustained (though, if possible, attended with keener pains,) with equal constancy and resolution. After this, he was again remanded to the dungeon, attended by the surgeon to dress his bruises and adjust the part dislocated, and here he continued until their auto da fe, or jail delivery, when he was discharged, crippled and diseased for life. Another excerpt from chapter 5 of Foxes'-- Gardiner himself was then tormented in the most excruciating manner; but in the midst of all his torments he gloried in the deed. Being ordered for death, a large fire was kindled near a gibbet, Gardiner was drawn up to the gibbet by pulleys, and then let down near the fire, but not so close as to touch it; for they burnt or rather roasted him by slow degrees. Yet he bore his sufferings patiently and resigned his soul to the Lord cheerfully. The following is excerpted from Foxes Book of Martyrs Appendix F and the enlarged 1957 edition of The Convent Horror-- In 1809, Colonel Lehmanowsky was attached to that part of Napoleon's army stationed at Madrid; and while in that city, the Colonel used to express his opinions freely among the people, respecting the priests and Jesuits of the Inquisition. It had been decreed by the French emperor that the Inquisition and monasteries should be suppressed, but the decree was not executed. Months had passed away, and the prisons of the Inquisition had not been opened. One night, about twelve o'clock, as the Colonel was walking along one of the streets of Madrid, two armed men sprang upon him from an alley, and made a furious attack. He instantly drew his sword, put himself in a posture of defence, and, while struggling with them, he saw at a distance the lights of the patroles--French soldiers mounted, who carried lanterns, and rode through the streets of the city at all hours of the night, to preserve order. He called to them in French, and, as they hastened to his assistance, the assailants took to their heels, and escaped--not, however, before he saw by their dress that they belonged to the guards of the Inquisition. He went immediately to Marshal Soult, then governor of Madrid, told him what had taken place, and reminded him of the decree to suppress the institution. Marshal Soult replied that he might go and destroy it. The Colonel having told him that his regiment--the 9th of the Polish Lancers--was not sufficient for such a service, without the aid of two additional regiments, the troops required were granted: one of these regiments was the 17th, under the command of Colonel de Lile, subsequently pastor of an evangelical church in Marseilles. The troops marched to fulfil their destined object, the Inquisition being about five miles from the city. It was surrounded by a wall of great strength, and defended by a company of soldiers. When they arrived at the walls, the Colonel addressed one of the sentinels, and summoned the holy fathers to surrender to the imperial army, and open the gates of the Inquisition. The sentinel who was standing on the wall appeared to enter into conversation for a moment with some one within, at the close of which he presented his musket, and shot one of the Colonel's men. This was a signal of attack, and he ordered his troops to fire upon those that appeared on the walls. It was soon obvious that it was an unequal warfare. The walls of the Inquisition were covered with soldiers of the holy office; there was also a breastwork upon the walls, behind which they partially exposed themselves as they discharged their muskets. The French troops were in the open plain, and exposed to a destructive fire. They had no cannon, nor could they scale the walls; and the gates successfully resisted all attempts at forcing them. The Colonel could not retire, and send for cannon to break through the walls, without giving them time to lay a train for blowing up the French troops. He saw, therefore, that it was necessary to change the mode of attack, and directed that some trees should be cut down and trimmed, to be used as battering-rams. Two of these were taken up by detachments of men, as numerous as could work to advantage, and brought to bear upon the walls with all the power that they could exert; while the troops kept up a fire to protect them from that poured upon them from the walls. Presently the walls began to tremble, a breach was made, and the imperial troops rushed into the Inquisition. Here they met with an incident, to which nothing but Jesuitical effrontery is equal. The inquisitor-general, followed by the father-confessors in their priestly robes, all came out of their rooms as the French were making their way into the interior of the Inquisition; and with long faces and their arms crossed over their breasts, their fingers resting on their shoulders, as though they had been deaf to all the noise of the attack and defence, and had just learned what was going on, they addressed themselves in the language of seeming rebuke to their own soldiers, and asked, "Why do you fight our friends the French?" Their intention was, doubtless, to make us think that the resistance was wholly unauthorized by them; and if they could have succeeded in making a temporary impression in their favour, they would have had an opportunity, in the confusion of the moment, to escape. But their artifice was too shallow, and did not succeed. Colonel Lehmanowsky caused them to be placed under guard, and all the soldiers of the Inquisition to be secured as prisoners. He then proceeded to examine all the rooms of the stately edifice. He passed from room to room, and found all perfectly in order. The apartments were richly furnished, with altars and crucifixes and wax candles in abundance, but no evidence could be discovered of iniquity being practised there; there were none of those peculiar features which might have been expected in an Inquisition. Splendid paintings adorned the walls. There was a rich and extensive library. Beauty and splendour appeared everywhere, and the most perfect order on which eyes ever rested. The architecture, the proportions were perfect. The ceiling and floors of wood were scoured and highly polished. The marble floors were arranged with a strict regard to order. There was everything to please the eye and gratify a cultivated taste; but where were those horrid instruments of torture which were reported to be there, and where those dungeons in which human beings were said to be buried alive? The search seemed to be in vain. The holy fathers assured the Colonel that they had been belied, and that he had seen all. The commanding officer began to think that this Inquisition was different from others of which he had heard, and was inclined to give up the search. But Colonel de Lile was of a different mind. Addressing Colonel Lehmanowsky, he said, "Colonel, you are commander to-day, and as you say so it must be; but if you will be advised by me, let this marble floor be examined. Let water be brought and poured upon it, and we will watch and see if there is any place through which it passes more freely than others." "Do as you please, Colonel," replied the commander, and ordered water to be brought accordingly. The slabs of marble were large, and beautifully polished. When the water had been poured over the floor, much to the dissatisfaction of the inquisitors, a careful examination was made of every seam in the floor, to see if the water passed through. Presently Colonel de Lile exclaimed that he had found it. By the side of one of these marble slabs the water passed through fast, as though there was an opening beneath. All hands were now at work for further discovery; the officers with their swords, and the soldiers with their bayonets, cleared out the seam, and endeavoured to raise the slab; others with the but-ends of their muskets struck the slab with all their might in order to break it; while the priests remonstrated against the desecration of their holy and beautiful house. While this engaged, a soldier who was striking with the but-end of his musket struck a spring, and the marble slab flew up. The faces of the inquisitors instantly grew pale as Belshazzar when the hand-writing appeared on the wall, and they shook with fear from head to foot. Beneath the marble slab, now partly up, there was a staircase. The commander stepped to the altar, and took from the candlestick one of the lighted candles four feet in length, that he might explore the room below. One of the inquisitors endeavoured to prevent him; and laying his hand gently on his arm, with a very demure and sanctified look, he said, "My son, you must not take those lights with your bloody hands: they are holy." "Never mind," said the commander, "I will take a holy thing to shed light on iniquity; I will bear the responsibility!" Colonel Lehmanowsky then took the light, and proceeded down the staircase. When he and his companions in arms reached the floor of the stairs, they entered a large square room which was called the Hall of Judgment. In the center of it was a large block, and a chain fastened to it. On this they had been accustomed to place the accused, chained to his seat. On one side of the room was an elevated seat, called the Throne of Judgment, which the inquisitor-general occupied; and on either side were seats less elevated, for the holy fathers when engaged in the solemn business of the Holy Inquisition. From this room they proceeded to the right, and obtained access to small cells extending the entire length of the edifice; and here they were presented with the most distressing sights. These cells were places of solitary confinement, where the wretched objects of inquisitorial hate were confined year after year, till death released them from their sufferings: and there their bodies were suffered to remain until they were entirely decayed, and the rooms had become fit for others to occupy. To prevent this being offensive to those who occupied the Inquisition, there were flues or tubes extending to the open air, sufficiently capacious to carry off the odour. "Pedro Arrupe, the former head of the Jesuits, also warned about an atheistic antichrist which was arising in the western world. Roman Catholic spokesmen, from the pope on down, have warned about a coming atheistic monster out to control the world, for this has been the Roman Catholic teaching on Antichrist for centuries. "In the United States, Jews and Muslims seldom say much about their views on the subject of Antichrist. However in their religious writings the issue of Antichrist is addressed. "...This is why a secular antichrist appeals to so many today. A secular antichrist does not pit Jew against Christian, or Muslim against Jew. We should not confuse the little antichrists with the great Antichrist, the antichrists OUTSIDE of the visible church with the great Antichrist INSIDE of it. The following reported by Biblical Discernment Ministries -- Pope John Paul II on his 10th African tour in 2/93, told about 75 "colorfully garbed voodoo worshippers [in Benin] that they would NOT have to forsake all of their culture [nor their voodoo faith] in order to convert" to Catholicism (2/13/93, World). The conciliatory pope noted that even as Africans look to their ancestors as objects of worship, Catholics also revere "ancestors in the faith, from the Apostles to the missionaries." "I have never seen God, but today when I have seen the pope, I recognize that I have seen the good God, who prays for all the voduns," said Sossa Guedehoungue, head of Benin's vodun community. Voodoo leader Senou Zannou gave a formal speech in which he announced his son was becoming a Roman Catholic priest. But he also offered a defense of his faith: "God knows that the vodun has nothing to do with the devil or Satan." (Africans passing from Benin into slavery brought vodun worship to Haiti and Brazil, where it mixed with Catholicism and came to be called voodoo.) Other instances of Catholicism's cooperation with the occult and false religions: In 1986 in Assisi, Italy, John Paul II joined in a circle to pray and meditate with snake handlers from Togo, shamans and tribal witchdoctors from West Africa, Hindu gurus from India, Buddhist monks from Thailand, and liberal protestant clergymen from Great Britain, as all joined hands in "pray[ing] to their gods for 'peace'." Tradition claims that Peter was close of denying Jesus AGAIN when persecution came upon the Church in Rome. Well, he didn't, but was caught by the Romans. The following is my modified response-- "I've never heard or seen the upside down cross associated with anything other than Satanism.
